I can reproduce this when menu access keys are enabled in GNOME-Terminal and Alt+B is pressed. But from my experience, Alt+B seems to be the only affected key.
Steps to reproduce: Go to edit->Keyboard Shortcuts Ensure that the first check box is checked Go back to terminal, type "sudo apt-get install" Press alt+b Expected result: Cursor should move to the beginning of "apt-get" Actual result: Cursor doesn't move at all. ** Changed in: unity Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Confirmed ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Won't Fix ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Status: Won't Fix => Confirmed ** Also affects: gnome-terminal (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/889513 Title: Forced menu visibility breaks keybindings in gnome-terminal To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/889513/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
