Hi Omer, Thanks for the info. I switched to Unity/3D again and saw this behaviour.
* First attempt at switching display - did NOT work. Screens went blank and after the timeout of 15seconds, it came back to old state. * I hit on 'Apply' again. On this attempt, the display switch WORKED. Everything is working fine. I did that about 3 hours back and could not try it again multiple times.
