Public bug reported:

Hi,
today apt-get told me to update my system, there was only one to download.
apt log showed this update: Upgrade: acpid:amd64 (2.0.10-1ubuntu2,
2.0.10-1ubuntu2.3)
after several hours my system suddenly got unresponsive after plugging in my AC
power. Reboot takes 10 times longer.
Rebooting without ac power gets me a responsive system, after plugging in again
completely laggy.... unplugging ac power makes the system more responsive, but
it's still slower/laggy.

when switching on ac power, syslog shows following:
Dec 9 13:04:35 host anacron[2473]: Anacron 2.3 started on 2011-12-09
Dec 9 13:04:35 host anacron[2473]: Normal exit (0 jobs run)
Dec 9 13:04:36 host kernel: [ 493.633858] EXT4-fs (sda1): re-mounted. Opts:
errors=remount-ro,commit=0
Dec 9 13:04:50 host kernel: [ 508.028426] CE: hpet increased min_delta_ns to
30169 nsec
Dec 9 13:05:00 host kernel: [ 518.260428] CE: hpet increased min_delta_ns to
45253 nsec

Not sure how to proceed from this point so far. or how to revert to the
previous acpid (i think it's related to the update, though i've got no
proof)
