I just don't understand, how it can be fixed if it isn't!!!!! This problem still exists into the latest release 11.10. Why it suddenly has a problem after release upgrade seems to be a mystery! There are a lot of proposed workarounds, but non of them has brought my eth0 back alive on boot.
Strangely, on another piece of hardware (different) it doesn't seem to have an effect. Oh, well... good thing we don't have to reboot too often, however on power outages and limited backup through UPS it will most certainly a pain in the neck, in particular if you have to do this on multiple boxes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to the bug report. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/45701 Title: /var/run/network not created To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ifupdown/+bug/45701/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
