I'm also having this issue with Ubuntu 11.10 on my Dell Inspiron N5010 with Intel integrated graphics. I don't have a program installed to capture video but here is a picture. As you can see, the mouse pointer is over the minimize button, but the close button is highlighted. This happens under the same conditions described by the original poster.
