Thanks for the reminder. I filed this bug on behalf of someone, and
forgot all about it.

Did earlier versions of SimpleScan have right-to-left etc scan options? Trying 
it out in oneiric just now the closest I could get was to rotate the last scan 
4 times so that the next scanned page would be 'filled in' from another 
direction. 
All directions worked fine, so it appears to be fixed. One caveat is that a 
different scanner was used (Epson V500). I will test it again next time I get 
access to the system I used previously.
