Public bug reported:

Fresh Ubuntu install.

This happened also with 11.10 amd64 in the same machine, a Dell server
PowerEdge R300.

1) Ubuntu relase:

# uname -ar
Linux xenserver 3.2.0-2-generic #5-Ubuntu SMP Mon Nov 28 18:10:23 UTC 2011
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# cat /etc/issue
Ubuntu precise (development branch) \n \l

# lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu precise (development branch)
Release: 12.04

2) Version of the package:

# apt-cache policy xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64
xen-hypervisor-4.1-amd64:
  Instalados: 4.1.1-3ubuntu1
  Candidato: 4.1.1-3ubuntu1
  Tabla de versiĆ³n:
 *** 4.1.1-3ubuntu1 0
        500 http://es.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ precise/universe amd64 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) I did a fresh install, then I did:

# apt-get upgrade
# apt-get install xen-hypervisor-4.1 xen-utils-4.1 xenwatch xen-tools
xen-utils-common xenstore-utils
# apt-get install virtinst virt-viewer virt-manager
# reboot

In the GRUB menu, I chose xen-hypervisor-amd64 > xen-server-...

4) When the GUI was loading, the desktop started flashing until it went
with no signal.

A red led at the rear of the server started flashing and on the front
screen on red said this message: E1410 CPU 1 IERR.

I had to unplug the server so the red light turned off and start the
system again.

I chose to start the Ubuntu generic, not xen (dom0), and it crashed with
a message "irqbalance crashed".

The Graphic Interface goes very slowly in general in this machine from
the beginning, just after the fresh install, when nothing else was
installed. When switching windows with Alt+Tab it goes really slow. In
general the interface seems very "heavy" with a poor perfomance. I
checked if there were any restricted drivers to install for the graphics
card, but there weren't any available.

I attach a few files with information.

Please let me know what else you need to know.

Thank you.
