Public bug reported: After upgrading to 11.10 all the games I run with wine have no sound. Bioshock runs just fine, TES-Oblivion is incredibly slow. Winecfg's sound test makes a crack, and the button locks up.
This bug is also reported for wine 1.2, here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine1.2/+bug/866095 I'll download the source from wine, see wether that version works and report back. rgoro@calidelphia:~$ apt-cache policy wine1.3 wine1.3: Installed: 1.3.28-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.3.28-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.3.28-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://ar.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/universe amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status rgoro@calidelphia:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.10 Release: 11.10 ** Affects: wine1.3 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/903482 Title: No sound, winecfg's test hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/wine1.3/+bug/903482/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
