I've installed gnome-shell on Ubuntu 11.10 and it don't start. Trying to
login in GNOME session nothing happen and some clutter erros appears on
Xsession log. Trying gnome-shell --replace on a Unity session I take
this:

caio@cooter:~$ gnome-shell --replace

(gnome-shell:4807): Clutter-WARNING **: Whoever translated default:LTR
did so wrongly.

(gnome-shell:4807): Cogl-glx-CRITICAL **: cogl_material_set_layer: assertion 
`texture_handle == COGL_INVALID_HANDLE || cogl_is_texture (texture_handle)'
