Peter, I'm honestly wondering that you've something else broken there, more 
than BAMF.
Since this branch just changes the way to handle the LibreOffice windows, while 
the rest should be mostly untouched.

However, to install it from packages you only need to download and install the 
.deb files for your architecture available in this page http://is.gd/BbFazO 
You shold need just bamfdaemon_*.deb libbamf3-0_*.deb and (maybe) 
libbamf0_*.deb install them with sudo dpkg -i *bamf*.deb

If you want revert your changes just do:

sudo apt-get install bamfdaemon=0.2.104-0ubuntu1
libbamf3-0=0.2.104-0ubuntu1 libbamf0=0.2.104-0ubuntu1
