Every time I boot into Ubuntu, the graphics fails after I select the
kernel option in grub. The system is running Ubuntu Server, so there's
no Xorg. I would have expected to have a basic VESA driver operating to
show the console output, since there's no fancy GUI stuff running.
I can get the graphics working if I select the "recovery" option in grub
and then select the default "resume normal boot" option (can't remember
the exact name of it) from the first recovery screen that appears.
I have also tried with the latest daily-live cd image for precise
(2011-12-25) and that gave the same result. I select the "try ubuntu
without installing" menu option from Unetbootin, and the graphics
immediately cuts out.
