Public bug reported:

Hi,

In Ubuntu 11.04 I was using battery-status indicator from ppa:iaz
/battery-status. This indicator is much better than the default one
since it incorporates both battery status and CPU throthling settings
(on demand, performance, conservative, etc...) all in one.

Unfortunately, there package for 11.10 (ppa:iaz/battery-status-devel) does not
install due to below error:
battery-status : Depends: python-gnomeapplet but it is not installable

Even if I download the .deb and install manually using dpkg and ignoring
dependencies (sudo dpkg --ignore-depends=python-gnomeapplet -i battery-
status_0.1.2~bzr32~oneiric1_all.deb), when I try to run it (battery-
status --indicator) I get the below error:

ImportError: No module named gnomeapplet

Any chance this can be fixed?

Thanks in advance,

Gaston
