Same problem here. Fresh install of Linux Mint 12 x64. After boot, when I hit enter key for the first time, screen goes blank and I'm logged out. This happens when hitting enter after the password, or, if automatic login is enabled, in gedit (boot, start gedit, type "foo", hit enter => logoff). Or: Boot, move mouse to upper left corner, type gedit, hit enter key to execute => logoff.
After this has happend once, It does not reoccur until next boot. -------------- Next, gnome shell crashes randomly during work. IT respawns and usualy, all windows, open documents etc are still there.
