Sorry for spamming, but perhaps it's better for this bug if I get it
right. Actually nolapic wasn't completely stable either. My system
eventually locked/froze completely.

I did "cat
/sys/devices/system/clocksource/clocksource0/available_clocksource"

and the only available is "acpi_pm", which I guess means no dice with
the "clocksource=jiffies" option.

Last choice seems to be "nohz=off", and it works.
