Public bug reported:

I am using Evolution 2.28.3 which was installed with Ubuntu 10.04 LTS.
When I execute 'apt-cache policy evolution', I get 'evolution: Installed:
2.28.3-0ubuntu10.3'

In my contacts, I have entered birthdays and anniversaries. These events show
on the Birthday & Anniversary calendar. In my efforts to get the reminders to
work, I also added some of these events to the Personal calendar. In
Edit/preferences/alarms, I have both calendars checked, and have tried "Display
alarms in notification area only" checked and unchecked.
I am still not getting any reminders/alarms/sound/pop-up/notification/etc.
I have noticed that Evo calendar on the left side has the dates for these
events in italics, and that the date/time applet has these dates in bold font
(neither of which is very noticeable - a change in font color would be better).

Also, when I open an event in the personal calendar and make it "all day" and
save, then open again, the changes are not saved.
Lastly, since I have not seen a reminder, where is the "notification area"?
Besides the calendar "reminders, et al" I would also like to have an email sent
to me. What do I need to do to get these to work?
TIA,
Bill
