Sorry to take so long to respond to your request for more information Eric. First of all I'm running gimmie as a standalone application, so it does behave like a separate panel. The fact that it grabs the icons isn't so much of a problem, because I understand that under normal circumstances you probably wouldn't be running both. My concern is probably irrelevant, but when gimmie crashes the icons are obviously not returned to the original notification area. Like I said it is really an irrelevant complaint, given that you would probably running gimmie separately.
I will try and get a screen capture, but I think you understand from the preceeding paragraph what I wrote as a problem. Icons grabbed initially, to be expected, but upon crash they disappeared completely. In think, about it, I realize that there is really no way for those icons to be grabbed back without a restart of the initial panel... Funny, how a few days changes perspective. I don't know anyone else who has complained at all so I have no secondary confirmation of the problem. Anyway, Gimmie is looking great! You guys are doing a marvelous job :-) -- After gimmie crash application icons do not show up in "notification area v2.18.1" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103104 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
