Trying to attach an (usb3-capable) Iomega Prestige 1.5TB 2.5" to a

In both cases, "lsusb" show a line for the attached drive, but "fdisk -l" gives 
no new device. System does not freeze.
The Iomega Prestige drive works fine when attached to a USB2.0 port.
