I've just installed 11.10 on my friends' brand new Sony VAIO VPCSB2X9R and it
heats dramatically in seconds.
It has hybrid graphics but it stays at 61-69°C even after turning discrete card
off:

# echo OFF > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch
# cat /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch
0:DIS: :Off:0000:01:00.0
1:IGD:+:Pwr:0000:00:02.0

Should I apport-collect only on the old system if it's not overheating?
