Public bug reported:

When using Ethernet in my university campus, you web request are
intercepted for your university login/pass before you can access to the
Internet, similar to pay pages for wifi services in many places. This
causes gnome-do to die (I assume it tries to connect somewhere and gets
an unexpected response). Which means I have to restart gnome-do every
day after I plug my computer in the university network.

This situation should not make gnome-do die, maybe start an exponential
backoff retry period until it gets whatever information it needs.
