I should mention that I'm no longer getting any error messages, and the rsync is more or less successful, but permissions, owner and group settings are not transferred; I can see that by repeating the same invocation with --itemize-changes:
.f...pog... etc/wpa_supplicant/functions.sh .f...pog... etc/wpa_supplicant/ifupdown.sh .d...pog... etc/xdg/ .f...pog... etc/xdg/Trolltech.conf > Can you also show us the mount options for your ntfs-3g partition? /dev/sdb1 on /media/FotoPassport type fuseblk (rw,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,blksize=4096,default_permissions) > Also, can you successfully rsync non-ecryptfs data to your ntfs-3g partition? It works the same with or without ecryptfs. Given that the remaining problems are of a different nature, I'm prepared to write off this bug. ** Changed in: ecryptfs-utils (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/582695 Title: problem with rsync to ecryptfs directory on ntfs-3g partition To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ecryptfs-utils/+bug/582695/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
