Sorry, if I was not clear in the first message.

In fact, I am asking for an enhancement: currently, to open the
contextual menu of an icon in the launcher (by launcher, I mean the row
of icons at the left screen edge that ends with the trash icon), the
user has to perform a right click on the icon.

I wanted to ask, whether the launcher could be enhanced to show the
contextual menu of the icons by holding the mouse button down on the
icon (as a second way to open the contextual menu).

This would than be similar to firefox that offers two ways to open the
contextual menu:
1. by performing a right click
2. by performing a long click (mouse button down and hold for a determined
delay)

This would be interesting especially for people that can only use one
mouse button. (These users usually perform right clicks by using some
software to swap click types.)

The ideal would be to offer the long click as an alternative to the
right click for the whole desktop; but as this does not seem to be
feasable without major problems, let's do it at least where it is
possible. The launcher seems to be a place where it is possible without
major problems.

Cheers
