Hello again,

I've now recompiled  the binary with the line "#define
DISABLE_ON_DEMAND_POWER_ON" uncommented and now the card is not powered
off.

However, the exact same behavior occurs in both VirtualBox and VMware.

in the first case (VirtualBox) "pcscd"  spins around the same lines (see
attached "pcsc_debug--virtualbox--poweron.out" for comparison purposes.

Exactly same behaviour in VMware as well (no log collected for that
one).

Any further suggestions ?
