Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-4-generic
This bug looks like the same issue as the HP laptops but after seeing DMesG I think it's a different issue. This is the output from DMesG when I try and load the acpi-cpufreq module: [22490.625766] ACPI Exception (exoparg2-0442): AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Index (0FFFFFFFC) is beyond end of object [20070126] [22490.625787] ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_PR_.CPU1._PSS] (Node ffff81003e945920), AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT [22490.625834] ACPI Exception (processor_perflib-0234): AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Evaluating _PSS [20070126] [22490.626021] ACPI Exception (exoparg2-0442): AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Index (0FFFFFFFC) is beyond end of object [20070126] [22490.626040] ACPI Error (psparse-0537): Method parse/execution failed [\_PR_.CPU2._PSS] (Node ffff81003e945c80), AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT [22490.626086] ACPI Exception (processor_perflib-0234): AE_AML_PACKAGE_LIMIT, Evaluating _PSS [20070126] As well as the generic "device not found" message in the terminal. Oddly enough after a suspend it let me load the module but this didn't unlock any modes in the Gnome CPU frequency scaling monitor applet. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- No frequency scaling on Asus F3Jp (Core2Duo) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116784 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
