Public bug reported:

I downloaded Ubuntu 10.04.3 on 4.2.2012 and tried to boot my X40 laptop
with it. The screen goes blank and computer no longer responds. The
Livecd works on other computers, so the CD is not broken.

I have installed ubuntu 10.04.3 LTS on this computer and it runs ok from
the HD.

I noticed this bug when I tried to restore my ubuntu installation with
the Live CD after Windows had overwritten the MBR.
