Hey, libmimelib1 is in the archive for the sole purpose to serve as lurker dependency. This is the reason why I packaged libmimelib1 as seperate source package in the first time, when kde4 was uploaded to Debian archives and libmimelib4 introduced both too much backwards-incompatible API changes and too much kde dependencies.
Thus I wonder why KDE folks should decide on whether libmimelib1 should stay in Ubuntu archives. In my opinion, you should go the other way around: decide whether lurker - a very fast and well-designed mailinglist archiver - should be in the Ubuntu archives, and based on that decision keep libmimelib1 there as well or not. And this was the very reason for this request - I would like to see lurker in Ubuntu archives, for the sake of Ubuntu users who run lurker on their servers. Thanks for all and keep up the great work!
