Hi Jerome, The bmp image generated by the driver is color and i flashed the .out file to another printer and it printed color. Looks like driver is giving out the correct output according to the settings made in the print dialogue box.
May be their could be some problem with your printer device. Can you check the ink-levels of your printer using command "hp-levels -g" and post us its output and check if the behavior of the printer is same on Windows OS too.
