@Serge - The host and guest are both kubuntu precise and both up-to-date - the errors differs I guess based on the resolution I chose. Choosing 1366x768 generated those errors. - Because the log file contains errors like: Out of video memory: Could not allocate 254340 bytes I also tried -global qxl-vga.vram_size=67108864 but upon reboot Xorg.0.log shows qxl(0): 57336 KB of video RAM, so for some reason I couldn't set 64M of video RAM
