Try doing the following: In terminal, sudo gedit /etc/modprobe.d/sound paste this line options snd-hda-intel model=uniwill-m31 position_fix=1 save and exit
if you are are using feisty or compiled a newer version of alsa the dep_range problem is gone and you wont need position_fix=1 You may also try model=toshiba or model=6stack-digout and see if those work for you. On my laptop, toshiba l30 115, model=toshiba enabled sound from headphones only, model=uniwill-m31 enabled sound only from speakers and model=6stack-digout did not work on my model. there is another bug similar to this one look at: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/108065 -- roblem with headphone jack in toshiba l30-134 ( alsa ) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81840 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
