Public bug reported: Hi,
my environment has the following variables set: DEBFULLNAME="Alessio Treglia" DEBEMAIL=ales...@debian.org UBUMAIL=quadris...@ubuntu.com These are to allow me to use distro-specific tools which should automagically recognize the correct email address to rely on while doing packaging works. Whilst some utilities (e.g. the "syncpackage" tool, provided by ubuntu- dev-tools) seems to float fine between the variables and properly set things up, "debchange" doesn't, it always takes the value of DEBEMAIL and compels me to either change the value by hand or prepend the command with a DEBEMAIL=quadris...@ubuntu.com to override the value set by the environment. IMHO, the correct behavior would be reading UBUMAIL in first instance and, only if unset, moving forward Debian-way. At most least, a command line option should be provided. ** Affects: devscripts (Ubuntu) Importance: Wishlist Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/929846 Title: debchange should read UBUMAIL first To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/devscripts/+bug/929846/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
