Public bug reported: There seems to be a persistent leak in gnome-keyring-daemon. Several times I've come into work to find a very sluggish machine swapping applications back in with the daemon consuming 45% of my system memory (according to htop on an 8GB machine). If there is any debugging tips to be offered on how to run the daemon outside of gnome-shell please let me know and I can valgrind it for you.
Currently it's taking up a modest 510M of VIRT (238M RES), I expect this to be much more when I come back into the office on Monday. --- ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu4 Architecture: amd64 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS "Lucid Lynx" - Release amd64 (20100429) Package: gnome-keyring 3.2.2-0ubuntu0.1 PackageArchitecture: amd64 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_GB.UTF-8 LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-16.28-generic 3.0.17 Tags: oneiric Uname: Linux 3.0.0-16-generic x86_64 UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-11-04 (98 days ago) UserGroups: adm adm admin admin cdrom cdrom dialout dialout libvirtd libvirtd lpadmin lpadmin plugdev plugdev rrdsock rrdsock sambashare sambashare sudo sudo trac ** Affects: gnome-keyring (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-collected oneiric ** Tags added: apport-collected oneiric ** Description changed: There seems to be a persistent leak in gnome-keyring-daemon.
