** Description changed: In the last two versions of Synaptic (0.75.5~exp4 and 0.75.5~exp5) the quick search doesn't work. After opening it shows the message 'Rebuilding software index"; a few seconds later it shows "Quick filter" and it should be ready, but it seems inactive. I can't click or type to search packages I need. The 'search' button on the right works correctly ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 - Package: synaptic 0.75.5~exp4 + Package: synaptic 0.75.5~exp5 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-15.24-generic 3.2.5 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.91-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 Date: Fri Feb 10 21:46:18 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Alpha amd64 (20120201.2) ProcEnviron: - PATH=(custom, no user) - LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 - SHELL=/bin/bash + PATH=(custom, no user) + LANG=it_IT.UTF-8 + SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: synaptic UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install)
