Public bug reported: I was transferring some files from my PC to my mobile phone which was connected by USB cable. After I had finished I right mouse-clicked on the drive icon in the Unity launcher and selected "Safely Remove".
My display corrupted severely and froze. For a while I could not change to a tty with Ctrl-Alt-F1 etc. Eventually I found I could and when I switched back to Unity with Ctrl-Alt-F7 I found that my display was normal and there was a prompt to say that my system may be unstable.
