Public bug reported:

When upgrading my 12.04 system to libc6 2.15-0ubuntu2 via update-
manager, I got a debconf prompt that asked me whether services should be
restarted. I answered 'yes'. A second or so later I got another debconf
dialog that said that gdm failed to restart (see attached screenshot).

Dialog text:
"The following services could not be restarted for the GNU libc library upgrade:
gdm
You will need to start these services manually by running 
'/etc/init.d/<service> start'."

(Not sure if this should go under gdm since that's where the failure is
or libc since that's what triggered the failure)
