so, I downloaded via browser http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt/pool/main/f /firefox-mozilla-build/firefox-mozilla-build_10.0.1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb and then ran sudo dpkg -i firefox-mozilla-build_10.0.1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb and Update Manager now says that there is no more updates to install! Thanks for your sudo help!
