Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hotkey-setup
Onetouch-keys for TV, Lock, ? and Mute appeared dead on my system when i installed Feisty Final. Volume, Email and Web worked perfectly. With dead i mean that they did not reveal their keycode to any of the methods on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/HotkeyResearch I beleive this is a common problem for HP ze5/4xx and some compaq presario-types. When i use "./omke.pl -k 1" from this bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hotkey-setup/+bug/20223 1. Mute-button (right side) works. 2. TV, Lock and ?-keys start sending their keycodes to syslog ( e070, e071, e073), but ONLY TO SYSLOG(gnome-system-log), not to showkey.
