I can confirm this behaviour on my laptop, a Uniwill 259EN, with also an intel and a nvidia card that can be switched at reboot.
I think the problem is that /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 is replaced by the nvidia-glx package. I don't know if it is possible for Xorg to use another libGL based on which driver is used, or if the symlink must be changed based on which hardware is detected.
