Same here with HP nx6110 laptop. Cannot boot from 2.6.20-16, with 2.6.20-15 I can boot. Problems started after upgrade from Dapper via Edgy to Feisty. hdX was changed in UUID and I got swap space assigned twice as well (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.20/+bug/96715)
