To use graphic installer or use graphic interface later, you indeed need vboxvideo to be installed. Other scenario is also possible: you need manually configure xorg.conf, specifying fbdev driver to use and Modes in the Screen section. It's known issue with UEFI, efifb and fbdev driver here some notes from fedora bugtracker https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=546166. Root cause of the issue is inability of fbdev driver to fetch screeninfo from efifb kernel module, and Xorg server fall down to vesa driver to attempt get resolution information from video BIOS which unavailable in EFI environment.
