It might not be as easy as it seems: current version of haskell-platform is bound to ghc-7.0.4. While it would be nice to have latest GHC, it would be also nice to have "stable" GHC. For now exactly 7.0.4 for i386 platform is removed (for amd64 is present), but some older 7.0.3 versions of GHC still present in repository. Please also note that all libghc* packages are locked to compiler version they are built with
