Till: Yes it seems to work _if_ I manually remove printer-driver-foo2zjs (only hp-firmware is run) and optionally re-install it (both hpljP1005 and hp-firmware is run, latter actually works). But out-of-the-box after the first time when plugin is installed, it's broken (only hpljP1005 is run).
I've now rewitnessed that behavior, so it seems consistent. Not understanding what's happening, it feels like out-of-the-box the foo2zjs udev rule takes precedence and prevents hp-firmware udev rule from being run, but after removing foo2zjs the hp-firmware udev rule works and mysteriously even after foo2zjs is manually installed back. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/931417 Title: HP LaserJet P1005 not setup correctly in 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/hplip/+bug/931417/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
