Cant reproduce this on a fresh precise install. LibreOffice does not and should not open in Fullscreen. And when it is fullscreened via ctrl- shift-j or via menu there is a a popup window with an exit fullscreen button which works, just like using the keybinding again. A maximized window also works as expected with Calc and Writer.
How did you produce the behavior? Does it persist if you move away ~/.libreoffice?
