Some more information. This happens about 1 in 2 times that I suspend/resume. I tried disconnecting the external monitor before suspending and when I resumed the laptop screen came up ok. When I plugged the external monitor back in, however, the display switched to the external monitor, the laptop one went off, and I was back to square one again.
Is there any other data I can provide to help analyse this?
