Sorry, I won't patch thunar for that. What thunar does is perfectly
fine, there's no real bug here. Notify-osd decided on its own to behave
like that for non-expiring notifications.

In this case, flushing data to the drive before eject/unmount can take a
very long time, that's why the expiration time must be zero, otherwise
the user might unplug the drive too early if the notification
disappears. A few releases back, Xubuntu used notify-osd, and we already
had this discussion with upstream, came to the same conclusion, and we
reverted to xfce4-notifyd because it's more flexible, themable, etc.

I'm closing this bug, but the upstream one is still open, and the
discussion can continue there (e.g. if some has an idea on how to rework
this part of thunar).
