Public bug reported: MAAS uses Cobbler under the hood, but when you install the maas package, you get debconf questions about Cobbler which will be very confusing the user.
* It asks for an administrative password -> we should just auto-generate one. * It asks for the IP address of the PXE boot / next_server. We should use the same logic here than we use MAAS to find the IP where MAAS can be reached. This will also involve creating a user/pass for maas in cobbler. ** Affects: maas (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Andres Rodriguez (andreserl) Status: Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957058 Title: Installing the maas package prompts me for Cobbler questions To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maas/+bug/957058/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
