FM -

I tried this with both cold and hot swapping of the card, and sent you
logs of both, but kern.log.1 was not available for either, so I'm afraid
you won't get what you need from this.

Sequences -
Normal re-boots to flush the log queue
Boot normal at ~19:44
Shut down at ~19:45
Cold-insert the card
Boot with PCMCIA at ~19:46-47
Hard shutdown at ~19:48
Boot normal at ~19:49
ZIP the logs

Normal re-boots to flush the log queue
Boot normal at ~20:06-08
Hot-plug PCMCIA card at ~20:09
Note that the clock on this machine stopped updating then
Hard shutdown at ~20:10
