Public bug reported:

With some commands, the autocomplete of path information doesn't work
correctly in 12.04 beta (up to date as of earlier today). For example,
if I enter "cd /ho" and press Tab, then autocomplete gives me "cd
/home/", which is what should happen, ready for the next part of the
path.

However, if I enter "cat /ho" and press Tab, it autocompletes to "cat
/home ", with a space after home and no "/", which means I have to hit
backspace and then slash before I can continue with the path.

Problem happens both with the shell from a text mode login and with
gnome-terminal in a GUI session. This inconsistent path completion does
not happen with the 10.04 installation I also run.
