This bug is present in Ubuntu 12.04 as well. First time you change the
volume after login, it jumps back to the right value. Before that it's
on max(!!!). I'm pretty sure it's a pulseaudio bug since the volume of
the device, shown in alsamixer, doesn't change or show any weird
behavior.
