Possible non-duplicates moved to be a duplicate of bug #864142. As a positive correction to my previous message, I had forgotten that actually upstream had a fix two months ago, the Debian bug report was just not closed and the fix was not mentioned in the release notes.
So, this bug is actually fixed now in the upcoming Ubuntu 12.04 LTS as well, which has libreoffice-voikko 3.3.
