with the recent upgrade ubuntu rolled out a new pulseaudio and the sound
settings dialog changed. my workaround does NOT work anymore. so far the
soundcard did not get recognized (each reboot again) until i restarted
all pulseaudio daemons or user-processes. i do not have sound now. could
you please fix the way pulseaudio finds or does not find the normal
built in sound card? i do not care if it shows my hdmi whatever device
as the only soundcard because i don't use it. i want my
headphone/speakers to play the sound just as every normal configuration
should.
