The Shortcuts seemed to be working so I started a Terminal with
STRG+ALT+T and typed in "compiz --reset" and "unity --reset" and then
reloged.

Now everything is back to normal. However these needed reset steps should be 
done automatically during package install imo.
When the final version of ubuntu is out and people still experience these 
issues which can only be solved by typing in a terminal they probably will like 
ubuntu less when they are non-techi users...
